Sorry if I've missed the answer in previous posts, but when did the change come into force?  It seems odd that you weren't informed of the change which must have happened in the last 6 weeks.

I'd have thought (maybe naively) that airlines would honour the rules applicable at the time of booking, not retrospectively change them for booking made before the change came into effect.
This is exactly how I’m feeling about it to be honest. When I originally purchased the holiday there were no other hand luggage options available at the time of my booking (just the standard rucksack size) which is fine. But when i thought about it more I was expecting to be able to put a mini suitcase size in over head locker but wasn’t given the choice. I’ve not flown in a long time. So I raised a query to then be informed of new changes and it would now cost me an additional £111 to purchase additional hand luggage. It costs me £30 admin fee for every change to my booking. Just doesn’t seam fair to me.
So when you booked it sounds like it did state "Your booking includes a small bag per person with a maximum size of 36x45x20cm which must fit under the seat in front of you." and you didn't check?

It does seem like that On The Beach don't have an option to get larger hand luggage, but you could have gone direct with EasyJet. Always shop around and check different terms.

It didn't change, they just hadn't read properly when they did book.

If there has been no change to Easyjet hand luggage limits since you booked, it's down to you because you didn't check before completing your booking.
I'm always wary of booking with companies like OTB etc as they like to get every penny out of you.
If you need to do a change that may be free with the airline, they'll charge an admin fee.

    You are not Easyjet's customer.
    You are OTB's customer.
    OTB is Easyjet's customer.
So you shouldn't expect to get what you'd get by booking direct with Easyjet.

I did see & read this thank you. My question remains though why wasn’t I offered the chance to purchase other hand luggage sizes at the time of my original purchase with OTB back in December? As I didn’t want hold luggage. But did want to take the maximum possible hand luggage I could (which I thought I had) but it’s not.

Perhaps because you didn't book direct?  Booking direct gives you control, rather than handing it over to a 3rd party booking agent and losing your consumer rights.

I don’t think anyone on this forum will know why On The Beach don’t have a facility to offer full size hand luggage on easy jet flights, you’ll need to ask OTB.

Package holiday potentially has more rights though.

Can you just pay for the larger cabin bag at the airport check-in?  It should be £39.99 according to easyJet website.
Or do you have the easyJet booking details and can add it on their site, which would be cheaper?

Easyjet has introduced a large cabin bag option on some flights only.

Can you access your flight booking to buy  hold luggage direct from Easyjet ?
