Plusnet and EE customers are eligible to move to BT's Home Essentials social tariff, with no penalties for leaving your existing provider mid-contract. BT Home Essentials costs a minimum of £15/month, depending on what broadband speed you sign up to. The contract length is 12 months which you can leave at any time without any penalty. At the end of that period, your eligibility is checked again.
