I received a letter from a company advising they would act on my behalf stating "Potential Stamp Tax Refund"
I recently moved home and purchased the new house in Oct 2022. Just wanted to know if this is correct i.e. recover some of the stanp duty paid,
Also is this something I can do myself?
Thanks

Why would you ever use a company that made an unsolicited contact?
Why do you think you might be due a SDLT refund?

Provided you are entitled to a (partial) refund, no reason not to claim it yourself.
Or if in doubt, ask the conveyancer you used at the time.1 -
