Problems using credit cards on Bookin.com

When booking accommodation in Europe on Booking.com I'd prefer to use my Halifax Mastercard credit card as it avoids transaction charges. Although Halifax confirm there is no problem with my card Booking.com won't confirm my booking with this card. I've just acquired a Barclarard Visa but have the same problem with that. The only card they will authorise on Booking.com is my Lloyds Mastercard. Booking.com have not come up with a solution and ignored my enquiry through their Dispute Resolution centre. Any ideas, other than not use Booking.com again, please?

They must have changed their terms and conditions I have booked with them before and only have Halifax Clarity card0

Is the issue that booking.com won't accept your card details or that payments are being declined when attempted?
It can be a bit hit and miss with booking.com at times I find, quite often the properties are attempting to process the card payments and have issues. But I've generally never had issues with the booking.com system itself provided the card is valid and the details are correct.0
