Telegraph_Sam said:I have just been swapped from Go Faster to Tracker. Is there a "smart" way of monitoring the relationship or difference between Tracker (G & E prices) and appropriate "yardsticks", say one alternative fixed and one variable tariff? Ideally in see-at-a-glance graphical format. Last time the relative positions were reversed I waited much too long before exiting Tracker and suffered the consequences as a result.
Granted that swings & roundabouts are inevitable, and one is never going to get the timing spot on, monitoring the differences should at least provide an exercise in damage limitation (I hope)
You need the App OctopusCompare.1 -
Most who read this thread will not know when you were previously on tracker tariff for electricity, for a bit of context the period you refer to which was during warmer months energy capped SVR 18pkWh E, 3p kWh G.Telegraph_Sam said:. That would have been summer 2021? Seems an age ago, shocking that it's only two years!bristolleedsfan said:

Yes what you have shown from the app should fit the bill nicely. Is the app download link on the Octopus website?Telegraph Sam

Obviously pick your correct regional the Tracker dropdown menu.1 -
Am I right in deducing that with the mysmart software I can use only the Std Variable tariff as a yardstick? It's worth delving into nonetheless.
Is the Octopus App wherever it lives any more adaptable?Telegraph Sam

If my memory was failing, I would periodically look at Octopus all tariff list and/or tariff options within online dashboard check out unit rates that are available for other tariffs for example flexible and fixed comparing with most recent tracker days.Telegraph_Sam said:Am I right in deducing that with the mysmart software I can use only the Std Variable tariff as a yardstick?
