Well, I could not be more wrong

Seems the timeswitch comes on a plug-in panel which includes the one-off switch, and it's only around £38 for the lot (second-user).

Power off at FSU, and instructions will almost certainly come with the part, or be easily available.

I'd still go for replacing your wall stat with a better system, a Prog Stat of some description that'll set the temps you want at the times you want them, and leave this control set to 'on'.

Thanks a million for this mate. My unit is a Time Switch 150 and I think it goes for £55 to £60 new. As you have stated, I think I can just replace like for like without any wiring needing doing. I think the switch itself is PCB mounted, which all said and done, I don't think I can just save the switch. I think I need an entire Time Switch 150 unit for my Ecotec Pro24.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out with this.

Cool. Cheaper than the ones I'd be looking at - I can see there's a slight difference.
Fingers crossed for this new one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295523534442? :-)
At that price, def worth replacing, and if you are happy with the level of control this gives you, then great. If you decide to go Prog Stat at any point, then this timeswitch is simply turned to 'ON', and left at that - the Prog Stat you'd fit on the wall will do the rest.
From one review, it is literally pull out the old one, and push this one straight in, but I'd like to see some YouTube vids or similar first. just in case!

Is there nothing that YouTube doesn't have?!
Other vids too, which might be better, I don't know.

The switch. we have several Eco boilers and from memory which may be wrong the boiler can be fitted with the manual clock or the digital, almost just a push and fit - but our boilers are nwer but the similar model and we have the manual timers in the rntals as less to go wrong I was advised.

at 35 quid, go for the full replacement but turn off the electrics etc

Have to say I'm a bit confused by that first vid as the removed clock doesn't appear to have the connecting pins sticking out of it?!

    Anyhoo, I'm sure it's sortable...

Vaillant also do a130 time switch very similar to the 150, they have a 4 pin connector
I’ve got 3 of them in my stores.

I take it the 'pinned' ones are not compatible with the 'unpinned'?

Will the digital 160 fit, do you know? And would it be worth doing if it did? Ta.

Thanks again! Yes, if you look hard enough on YouTube you could probably do a half decent job at brain surgery with the right tutorial !!!
