I cannot pay my credit card this week

If the DD is due out on Monday the request will already be in the pipeline and it's going to be too late to either cancel or alter to minimum payment for this month at least. I think your best bet is going to be to speak to your bank on Monday and see if you can arrnange a temprary overdraft so that the DD doesn;t bounce.<Edit> and note that if you;ve only just made the minimum payment manually, the card issuer may already have sent a DD request for the entire amount on the statement, so if the DD goes through and doesn;t bounce you may actualyl have paid more than you had to and end up with a credit balance on the card.0

As poohsticks has said, if your DD payment is due this Monday, it would likely have been polled from last Thursday at the latest which means you cannot do anything about it without contacting your bank on Monday and asking for a reversal, however, this may come at a cost due to charges levied by your bank.
The main thing is that you’ve paid the minimum on your CC and although the minimum will be recorded on your CRA (unless you can pay an additional couple of £’s over) it will have a far less affect than a late or missed payment.
You will incur interest on all transactions for the month as a result of not clearing in full by statement date and this cannot be avoided.
In summary;
- you may incur a failed direct debit payment charge by your bank
- Barclaycard will record your payment as a minimum payment to CRA
- You will pay interest on all transaction made on last statement amount
- There will be no late or missed payments negatively impacting your credit history
Don’t worry, just try to ensure it’s not repeated!

Call barclaycard asap and ask that they waive any fee for the DD bouncing - they might if it's a one off.
fyi - a quick calculation makes me think that you'll be charged less than 10p a day for each £100 outstanding. Try to overpay a bit so that you don't also run up interest charges for any new transactions as I'm sure the T&Cs state you will get interest from the first day of a transaction if the balance hasn't been cleared in full. Better yet - use a different card for the next month should you have one available.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
