that is hilarious! My dogs now try to attack and bite the hoover and for some reason it didn’t occur to me they might destroy a little robot 😄

So I’ve decided on the Henry, my bank will be better for it and at least I know it is durable and will last. Maybe one day I’ll get another Miele.

I’ve managed to get a lot of jobs done around the house this weekend and today I am waiting on another jigsaw puzzle to be delivered. It’s my mums birthday next week so presents are purchased and funded by the presents pot.

Today will be chilling and probably some De-weeding the garden.

Just checking in, no big news to report and with it being a long weekend coming up I am hoping for a couple of no spend days.

Looking at my bank balances, this month seems like it may be a tight month money wise. I am not sure how or why but will check over the weekend. My regular savers go out tomorrow and then I will have a good idea.

The car is also probably needing to be booked in somewhere as I’ve noticed a rattle whilst driving..sounds like something is loose underneath so will see if I can get that booked in somewhere next week.

Instead of buying a jigsaw table which all seem to cost £100 upwards I have bought a cheap foldaway camping table to place my current board on. This should allow me to sit on the sofa and do it in comfort plus I can think of many ways a foldaway table could come in handy down the line and it was only £20 so I can justify that.

It’s been a while. Truth be told I’ve hit that stage again where all motivation has gone, I think I did so well saving last year that my expectations were a bit high and of course I couldn’t sustain it.

Every month this year just seems to have some big bill / expense that stops me from saving as much as I previously did. Then there’s the car loan that I wasn’t paying last year so I think that has a lot to do with it. My motivation has just dwindled but I need to look at it all differently..

I am still paying at least £910 a month into regular savers (I think because these have all been coming out automatically I don’t consider them as savings anymore and I really need too) My savings are back to where they were before I got the car so hopefully from next month I will start to see it go up again and that will help. And finally I have no new debt so things in reality haven’t gotten worse and I need to remind myself that it’s ok if things are not moving forward as long as they aren’t moving backwards.

In other news the car was fixed and it’s lovely and quiet to drive again. I had to lend someone some money this month and that has left me very tight but only a week to go until pay day.

Urgh - the Henry corner peep. I am a (reasonably) normal, functioning, rational adult, but the sight of Henry peeping at me from a stuck door frame makes me irrationally rage-y!! Enjoying your diary OP - can't believe I've de-lurked to comment on a hoover lol. BiB x

lol! So far the corner peep hasn’t been too bad for me but I must say I find I am possibly concentrating too much when I am moving him around purely to stop that from happeneing. The stairs however… he’s doing exactly what I remembered from way back and toppling down as soon as I get into a rhythm 🫣

I must say though he is picking up the hair a lot better than I thought he would so I am pleasantly surprised.
