Another week done, not the greatest one at work but it’s done. I keep booking time off and then having to cancel it due to the workload and re-structuring so that isn’t helping.
Today I plan do just crack on with house work and get a little bit of next weeks work done in the hopes that it’ll make Mon a bit easy when I am back.
My overpayment was paid to the loan and the total now stands at £6538.83 and term is 28 months so copilot wasn’t far off. I’ve just remembered I have a couple of months free of council tax too so when I do my monthly reshuffle I will throw that into the loan as well.

I’m in an over thinking stage and it’s driving me insane..
I think the main thing at the moment is work, I’m really not enjoying it and I’m only seeing red flags. I am also highly aware that when I focus on something I hyper focus on it so really not sure if this is just a lull I am going through. I think I’ve just reached a point where I want to do my job and go home without worrying about it, I am done with career progression and really don’t have the drive for it anymore but I’m not helping myself by putting in the extra hours after work and at weekends.
I worry that I am letting everyone down if I don’t get things done so I spend a lot of time out of hours trying to make sure I am ready for the following day.
I’ve only managed around 5 NSD’s this month so far so need to get better at that. It always seems to be milk that trips me up🙄 but looking at my spends diary 3 times I have gone in and only bought milk so that’s a plus.

I have just paid an extra £300 of the loan thanks to no cancel tax and extras earned through surveys, will see what the new balance is tomorrow

If your loan interest is 11+% I would think about paying the car off with the cash assets you have in full. Then spending the next few months saving every penny to get back to where you are. Most savings accounts are rubbish interest rates and you'd save money getting rid of a high interest loan? 😊

Hello @debtfreewannabe321 yes I know it is the completely logical thing to do and honestly it’s makes total sense I understand exactly where you are coming from!
The issue I have is I am just getting out of a DMP and my credit history has been trashed so I am using this loan to report back to the agency’s so they can see I am able to take on credit and pay it back successfully now if that makes any sense? As it stands with my over payments so far I have saved £2,620.33 in interest and I plan to over pay every month if I can so I can clear it as soon as possible.
The other battle i have is mentally I couldn’t bare to see my deposit savings drop after finally realising I have done it all wrong over the years. I have finally decided to try and save for a house and seeing the graph get closer to my target every month really keeps me going. I don’t think I could see me slide further away from that target again😃

I managed to book 2 days holiday so after today I will have a long weekend and I can not wait! I have a list of things I want to clean around the house and I absolutely need to book a dentist appt as I haven’t been in ages.
I do have to get a couple of birthday presents this month but they will come out of my presents pot and I also need to look at when all my annual bills come out this year and take a note of them so I can be prepared. Right time to get ready for work and get everything done so I can switch off completely when I leave for the day.

Dentist done and a reminder of why I don’t go often😂 I absolutely do not like the scale and polish and the x-rays always dig into my lower mouth. Good news is no new fillings or any huge work needed.
Kitchen has been cleaned and birthday presents have been purchased, today I will give the house and car a decent hoover and wrap the presents. It has been really lovely having a couple of days off but it has made me realise how desperately I need to find a new role.

Work is already taking its toll on me but at least it is Friday tomorrow and no work this weekend so got to look on the bright side!
My Insurance paid out for the majority of my dental work so I just need to find £175 from one of my pots at the end of the month to pay for the remainder. This does make me think maybe I need a health pot or something but I’m not too sure considering it will be a while probably until I can pluck up the courage to go again!
The loan overpayment went in so I think I am now down to 26 months remaining, not sure if I will use the council tax again this month or if I should just use that to pay for the dentist.. we shall see if I have anything else left over and take it from there.
This weekend is my sisters birthday so I will be taking her to the pub for a couple on Sat and I never did get round to hoovering the car so that’s also on the to do list.
Other than than will keep on plodding along

Another week over.. I say over but I do have to work today and tomorrow. Hopefully it will go quickly and on the bright side it means 2 no spend days.
I’ve had a productive week in some ways, a lot of things that have been playing over in my head have been written down and tackled in one way or another so it’s a little relief mentally. I’ve wrote a list of reasons why I am looking for a new job as I know I will be having a conversation with my manager soon about yearly goals and will need to give her the heads up.
I know if the conversation was to happen and I haven’t written my thoughts down then I will likely waffle and it will not come out the way it should.
I’ve also taken a look at the many number of accounts I have my savings scattered into and will be moving it all into the 1 ISA before the new tax year kicks in.The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2026 #26 £288.45/£667.95Save £12k in 2026 #12 £2910.75/£7500
