Getting a company to honour an advertised deal

At the end of November last year I used the Compare the market website to find a new Broadband deal. I found a good deal with Shell Energy that also promised me an Amazon voucher. The deal was valid until the 4th of December and I singed up a couple off days before that.
The broadband router arrived, switch over was fine and the broadband is working as it should. But the Amazon voucher never appeared.
I have emailed both Compare the market as well as Shell Energy and both companies point at the other company as the one to provide the voucher. Leaving me in the middle without the promised voucher.
What are my rights on this? Who do I contact in order to get the voucher? Which of the two companies is most likely the one who should provide the voucher?

You have a right to the voucher if it was guaranteed. Often, these promotions have a "while stocks last" disclaimer, and given you signed up close to the deadline, they may simply have run out. If that's the case, it's bad luck, but if no such clause exists, then it's the provider of the incentive that you should chase, which will be detailed in the offer Ts and Cs.
To check both things, you'll need to find the terms and conditions of the offer.0 -
The gift voucher would be issued from the company compare the market are working with. I assume you checked your spam folder?0

When did they say the voucher would arrive?
I have now had two of these deals, first with Talktalk then with Vodafone. Each time the third party providing the voucher gave a fulfillment date several weeks ahead. Each time the voucher duly arrived a couple of days before the time ran out.0 -
The voucher was supposed to arrive within a couple of weeks of signing up. Since this was over the Christmas/ New Year break I waited until January before contacting both companies. Both companies have responded to my query (nothing in the spam folders) by stating that it is the other company that provides the voucher. So they did not say they've run out or something, just that it is tot them who provides it. So "Compare the market" says I should contact "Shell Energy" for the voucher, while "Shell Energy" tells me to contact "Compare the market".0

Have recently signed up with Shell Broadband through MSE and have received my first bill. It looks like VAT is added on top of the advertised price, which I'm obviously not happy about. Has anyone else noticed the same?0
