statement identifies which card holder, main or additional made the transaction

I share your sentiments, having separate transactions did make life easier.I suspect that NewDay are less generous with the points than the old JL card given that you appear to need to spend in multiples of £4 to get the full benefit, whereas the old card every penny spent counted. I've started using another cashback debit card for transactions under £4. Will be interesting to see what the first points statement shows.Make £2026 in 2026

I get this on my Amex and Mrs Arty uses it to berate me - asking why 'my' spending is so much higher than 'hers'
Erm, well because whenever we are together and buying something, it's always me that has to get the card out. Marital logic eh...

Barclaycard list them on printed (pdf) statements in date order so the two (or more) cardholders are intermixed.
BUT in the online account transaction list(s) can be sorted by cardholder (and any other column). Those lists go back over the last 12 months, I think, tying in with statement dates (probably, I never actually checked).
Check out if the NewDay online offers the same - or even the ability to export the data for analysis with another app/program.0 -
That stopped many years ago. As it meant that both cards had to be stopped in the event one was lost etc. Not good for customers. 👍EarthBoy said:
The few times I've had a secondary card holder, their card has been the same number as mine, so showing the last four digits wouldn't tell you anything, as they're the same on each card. This was with RBS (donkey's years ago) HSBC (about 20 years ago), and Nationwide (a couple of years ago).Brie said:Must admit I haven't seen that on any credit card statement I've ever received. All list transactions chronologically. Normally there'll be something to indicate which card was used (last 4 digits) but never separate lists.Life in the slow lane0 -
It hasn't stopped yet for (all) Tesco Bank secondary cardholders!born_again said:

No it didn't, not for Nationwide anyway. I only cancelled my additional cardholder last year and their card had the same number as mine.born_again said:

Remember that you will lose the benefit of the JL voucher scheme. How much time and frustration will you save by switching card provider, if you can find one that does what you require?VHP said:John Lewis changed credit card in October 2022. Old credit card statement listed main cardholder and additional card holder transactions separately, in 2 lists, first mine chronologically, then his. We could check our transactions easily. The new card, with NewDay, lists all the transactions chronologically in one list. I have asked them to produce statements identifying the card holder. They say they cannot. I raised this as a query, then as a compliant but not oy.
Can you tell me which credit cards issue statements separating cardholder transactions.
I want to move to a company that does this to save time and frustration.
I too had a JL Partnership CC with my wife as an additional card. I took out a JL NewDay CC, again with my wife as an additional card holder when JL closed the partnership card. The lack of separating transactions doesn't bother me although I can understand why it bothers you and others.
I decided to stay with JL as the vouchers for spending make it an attractive card to use.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0
