A guy from a forum  called me and asked if I'd like to pay £10 and start being working for the company.  Is it worth it and what's it all about?

What is a good way to make money online if this isn't an option?

  • I know someone that works for them, they claim its great money for few hours work but they are trying to sell both UW services and jobs.
They do have some holidays out of it though, they went to Peru and Mexico last year but some holidays don't seem to materialise.
The Mexico trip was said to be holiday of a lifetime yet they went in the wet season and as documented on social media was a three legged flight - no one should be sitting on 3 planes for a 7/8 hour flight

I suspect you would earn more spending the time sat on a checkout in a supermarket.

I know a couple of people that do it and seem to do quite well from it.  I think it's like any job/business though - if you work hard and put a lot of hours in you'll eventually see the rewards.  But it's not a get rich quick scheme.  The people I know that made it work were very passionate about it and they went out of their way to build up big networks of people.  I suspect for every person that makes it work there are nine people who fail or lose interest.

I imagine it's a bit like selling Avon. If you've got a huge network of people you can persuade to "buy the product" then you will do OK for a while.

Only problem, with UW you don't get repeat customers and your list of people is eventually exhausted.

The obvious red flag is having to pay £10 to start work!

If it was easy to make money, they'd stop the £10 out of your earnings.

Nextdoor is full of ads for "make money working from home"

The last one I saw was offering £11 an hour to stick fabric samples onto cards.

    1) just how many do you need to stick on in an hour to make £11?
    2) exactly how many fabric samples does the world need sticking anyway? I can't imagine there is that much work.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Reminds me of my younger days. In the holidays when my friends and I wanted to earn some money, we could knock on a factory door be handed a bag of 1000 bits of string, we'd return them with a knot in each for £2.50. Took blinking ages

From what I recall, you continue to get commission for every customer you introduce, for the lifetime of that customer.

That's what the person I know said, that it's the equivalent of a pension as no customer ever leaves UW apparently... Well maybe EssexHebridean is the one that got away 😆
