SSE PAYG troubles

Hello everyone,

We have moved out of a PAYG property a few months ago supplied by SSE. Throughout the time we were there, we have been topping up the meters and still had some credit when we left. We informed them of the move as soon as we moved out.

They have now been constantly sending us bills for the gas meter demanding money, when we have always topped up the meter and as mentioned above still in credit when we left.

We have phoned them multiple times in which they have said they will refund us the remaining money and cancel the bill but they have still been sending us bills.

We have also emailed their complaints email with no reply.

Go to the Ombudsman upon receipt of a deadlock letter, or after six weeks if they don't send one.  SSE's service was so bad that they were told that the usual eight week allowance would be cut to six weeks; seems they haven't improved  since then !

Did you leave the key or card at the property when you moved out?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
