Anyone with Co-op bank?
scoey8
Just switched to them and when i am viewing my account on the app it never seems to be up to date. All other banks i have been with show transactions instantly and you can view them under 'pending transactions'. However on the co-op app it just gives the amount and no other details of the transaction i.e who it was paid from/to.
Anyone else confirm if this is just how it is or if i'm missing something?
Thanks

I now have a Co-Op everyday extra bank account and the only reason is that I get annual travel insurance and car breakdown cover. I never actually use the account for anything.
Some of us got lumbered with the Co-op a few years back when Lloyds split. At the time I took great pleasure in telling them I was their customer by default and Lloyds bank decision to transfer my account to them, not by my choice.0 -
Are you not getting mixed up with TSB?subjecttocontract said:I now have a Co-Op everyday extra bank account and the only reason is that I get annual travel insurance and car breakdown cover. I never actually use the account for anything.

Yes I am, it's been a long day......my apologies.
In my defence i should say that I place the Co op & TSB in the same group of banks which I would normally avoid at all costs
(unless by some miracle they happen to offer something worth having....which doesn't happen very often ).0 -
£125 each for opening a current account?subjecttocontract said:

The Co-operative bank does not show you pending transactions. You won't see recent debit card transactions until they clear your account. They will, however, be reflected in your running available balance.
My account with them lasted a few weeks. They are arguably the worst bank for all sorts of reasons - telephone customer service 60 minutes on hold just for starters. I wouldn't go near them again.1 -
Thanks for confirming. Absolutely rubbish they don't show pending transactions!gsmh said:The Co-operative bank does not show you pending transactions. You won't see recent debit card transactions until they clear your account. They will, however, be reflected in your running available balance.

I have had a pathfinder account with them since about 2000. No issues. I remember their old internet banking. Clunky but it worked
The account works just fine and it pays interest at 1.51% its basically a "lite" current account0 -
The Coop Pathfinder account is a blast from the past! No longer offered and hasn't been, afaik, for some time.Grizebeck said:I have had a pathfinder account with them since about 2000. No issues. I remember their old internet banking. Clunky but it worked

I have a CO-OP account. It is a cashminder (so I assume a current account) although to be fair, I have something paid in monthly and move it to another account a day or so later generally, however my transactions appear on it I believe (but cant remember tbh)
TIA

"why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
...and then it hits me

Cashminder is the basic account, I have one too. There was a period when I was getting back on my feet and was able to open non-basic accounts with the likes of Lloyds and RBS who I'd previously had basic accounts with when times weren't so good. Co-op were the only ones who refused my application for a standard account. I can't say I'm bothered as, being a member of several co-ops, I'm not keen on them using that name anymore plus they never seem to receive glowing reviews on these boards or elsewhere.stinky_daddy said:I have a CO-OP account.
