The MCB each sold for £64.99 each. I don't want a dud MCB in return
Then I refer you to my earlier reply. If you ignore the claim it isn’t going to go away, you will need to put some effort into this.

  • I thought it was just a cheap fuse!
For that value I would be phoning eBay to speak to a representative asap…..

I don't see that Ebay have done anything let alone been coercive from your post.

Someone raised a complaint. You responded to the complaint. Ebay have not yet decided. Is that the timeline?
  • No, sorry I phoned eBay and wrote to their Customer Services manage at their Head Office . All to no avail, they coerced me to accept return although they accept the Buyer was at fault.

How did they coerce you to accept the return?
And if the item has been safely returned, what is the problem?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I guess it is an MCB and not a fuse? (you keep using the terms interchangably, but they are two different things).

In the future I'd initiate the return myself with the option "buyer changed mind".

This will keep your reputation squeaky clean, and they buyer will get their money back.

You may end up out of pocket for a few pounds of return postage, but for a £65 item it would be worth it. .

PS, it must be quite an MCB, they are usually a few pounds each!  :)
    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

You also lose the outbound postage as well, as I’ve just experienced with a buyer falsely claiming that an item wasn’t as described. Meant I lost £11 outbound postage and £8 return postage. Yes, I have the item back to resell again, but I’m £19 down because of a buyer who lied when they changed their mind.

Seller cannot initiate the return,Op said a case was opened so all seller can do is arrange for a label to be sent as happened here.
