Hi

Does anyone know if porting your number from either Lebara or Lyca close your account therefore making you a new customer.

Many thanks

I think there are threads on here from people who have ported their number out and back (especially to lebara) repeatedly. Not so sure many have gone back to lyca for some reason!
They may have signed up using different email addresses each time though.

But technically porting your number does close your account, but whether you can be a new customer if you are using an email address previously registered is a tougher question.

Cheers Savergrant. I know you can have up to 4 Sims on the same account but understood this to mean 4 of the same deal.
I've been with Smarty previously and they keep your account open even though you have ported out. I think you are right in thinking a new email is required for each new customer deal but it's hard to find a definitive answer.

    Thanks

From my experience I had to use different email accounts to sign up for lebara for each member of the family. If I tried to order a sim from my main email address it refused to proceed. It didn't even say "limit reached", I think it just said that email address was already on their system.

Did you try it while logged into your account? This is the common consensus on Hotukdeals comments I've read.

    Cheers
