Requesting paper statement copy from British Gas

I can not find how to request a paper copy of my statement on the redesigned site. I've searched, read the FAQs, asked the bot but I could only find mention of it for Business accounts. Does BG no longer send statements on request to regular home accounts?

    If you want the better deals paperless is usually the way to go.

    Should be able to download the bill and print it yourself.

    Sign into your account, go to your bills and invoices scroll right down to the bottom of the page you should see a box entitled "send me my bill" which if you click on it should get them to send a paper bill.

    maybe but thats not what the op says. they said they wanted to request a copy of a statement. 

    could be a one of request for something like a morgage application or ID verification (that for some reason needs to be an original paper copy not a printed or electronic version)

    There is no "send me my bill" option. There isn't a "bills and invoices" section, there is "bills & payments", I presume you mean this. This is the link: https://energyaccount.britishgas.co.uk/bills-and-payments

    The options there are the same as from the My Account dropdown. I can manage the DD, make a payment, download bills, and view payment history.

    As I'm just logged in to BG, I had a look and there doesn't appear to be a way to do it in the new system, as you've found.

    I did however find the option by choosing to view my account on the old system (landing page > Previous account > View my previous documents) - the option is still there under 'view my bills' and it says they'll send a copy of 'your latest bill' in 10 days free of charge.  But my latest bill on the old system was in October, so that might not help you if it needs to be a more recent one, for ID purposes etc.

    So the short answer is, I can't find the option on the new system either.

    Can you provide a link? I don't see any such option on the new landing page https://energyaccount.britishgas.co.uk/landing It looks like the old landing page was from https://www.britishgas.co.uk/my-account/accounts/overview this just give me errors.

    I tried following various links from Google to the older system while logged into BG and it always results in 'Something went wrong' errors.

    Anyway as you suggest this will likely not work for new bills in the new account. I was moved to a new customer number in June and since August have been on the new system.

    In my  bills and payments box there is a link 'view billing'. That takes me to 'your bills and invoices' and a box at the bottom has a link to request 'a paper copy
