Passport renewal glasses problem

Hi
Need to renew my passport but I'm having problems uploading my photo due to my complex prescription (it's seeing my thick lenses as reflection). I'm happy to upload a photo without them on but just wondering if this may cause me a problem because I'm wearing them on the old passport. Would be interested to know if anyone has had a similar situation.
Many thanks

I would do without - the instructions are "Do not wear glasses in your photo unless you have to do so."

When you are going through e-passport gates it always says take glasses off - so should not be a problem if photo has you with no glasses2

Cheers for your thoughts but I'm more worried by a possible rejection of the application because of the difference in the photos. Wondered if they may ask me to get the new photo verified which I would like to avoid.

people wear contacts instead of glasses, people get laser eye surgery and no longer need glasses...I think you are overthinking1

It says your photo should be without glasses so they can't complain if that's what you send them
ETA: And presumably they WILL complain if you send them with glasses.0 -

Which is great when you can't then read the instructions on the screen!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Totally agree @Sea-Shell. I usually end up needing assistance as once I take my glasses off I cannot read instructions.2025 Decluttering Campaign 857/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

It's no big deal as I have to take them off to read and end up getting a fingerprint or two on them, lol
Take care0
