Well if thats the case you could send a request by private message to MSE Webmaster explaining the above

Under exceptional circumstances I think MSE may allow a change of Username.

How do I delete any/all threads/replies/posts that I have put on the forum? Even old ones?
And how do I close down my account on MSE?
If you click edit on any of your posts there is a delete button.
You can delete any of your own posts apart from 'thread starters' which have had replies.0 -

However they will still be available in Google cache etc. so no point really!

I think you can Edit all your posts & just manually delete the text leaving some random word/text as the minimum required for thread starters. If you click edit on any of your posts there is a delete button.

I accidentally posted a new thread twice so want to delete one of them.
I log in, press edit which will allow me to edit the text but there is no delete button that I can see.
In the FAQ's under "can I edit my own posts" it says "If you have registered, you will be able to edit and delete your posts. Note that the administrator can disable this ability as he desires. Your ability to edit your posts may also be time-limited, depending on how the administrator has set up the forum."
Maybe the delete option has been disabled for this thread?
Any help appreciated.Noli nothis permittere te terere.0 -

You can delete your own posts but not threads that you have started. Perhaps edit the title to Please Delete. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
