As per their website, the High Court have appointed administrators and so you'd approach them but the company is likely insolvent so you may get a penny to the pound if your lucky.

Depending on how you bought them and method of payment you may have better options via your bank

If you paid cash directly then there is no fund that steps in for failed airlines unlike the FSCS for banks/insurers etc

You're very unlikely to see that money, as you're simply an unsecured creditor among many others - you could always get in touch with the administrators (contact details the FlyBe website), and keep an eye on the CAA site too, but realistically it would be best to set your expectations very low, i.e. pennies in the pound if anything....

I thought that card companies could only reimburse costs directly associated with a breach of contract, and that flight delay compensation doesn't fall into that category?

They mentioned a cancelled flight so at least there would be the recovery of the airfare if not already.

As to if statutory compensation can be recovered under S75... I know others on here have said it cannot, I've the intention to look at Financial Ombudsman decisions to see what their view has been but never gotten around to it... unfortunately if you search for S75 and Delay now you just get hundreds of complaints that covid caused delays in processing S75 claims.

Yes, OP did say "£880 compensation for delayed/ cancelled Flybe flights" but obviously any given flight can only be delayed or cancelled (even if the latter is preceded by the former), and the figure being a multiple of the entry-level compensation figure suggested that it was a compensation claim rather than reimbursement of ticket cost.

As far as I know, s75 has never successfully been used to recover EU261 claims against airlines. Flybe appears to have been notorious for claiming that there would be a delay of 90 days before payment could be made suggesting they had been in severe financial difficulties for a long time. No unsecured creditors got a penny last time, the debts exceeded £320 million and whilst they won't be as high this time, I very much doubt you will ever see a penny unless the claim was actually for a refund of the flight cost which should be claimable under s 75.
