I can't change my usage. 95% overnight on E7 and fixed daytime usage from the fridge, freezer and pond pump, and the odd kettle boil only during the day.Mstty said:
You probably need to read the octopus saving sessions thread to realise it's not all about saving in the hour but what you shift before the saving session.Swipe said:I can't get my usage down any lower than it already is so declined0 -
It wouldn't be easy but you could still make from it if you wanted to.Swipe said:

Fridge freezer off for an hour, same for pond pump and boil your kettle outside the saving period.
Move some E7 tasks to the in day adjustment 3 hour window and that's your leccy paid for the day.
Not simple for such low users I appreciate.0 -
Yeah, I normally charge my battery overnight.
but if I charge it up, or at least top it up, during the in day adjustment period it makes sure that I don’t run out of battery during the grid’s peak time.Plus as above, I get paid for doing so, which is worth more than the 40p/kWh I’m charged for peak rate usage.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
I got this too. My electricity company is not participating but it still appears a spectacularly poor offer and I'm not going to join it.0

I did sign up for this just to see what was involved. My energy usage is always low at this time of the day but simply by timing dinner for 17:30 rather than our normal 18:00 I achieved a 47% reduction and won a £50 runner up prize.I think that for me this a better scheme than others I have seen because, with my baseline usage being already so low, the amount that I would receive for any saving would otherwise have been a trivial figure.5

Nice result and good to hear👍EnergyOCD said:I did sign up for this just to see what was involved. My energy usage is always low at this time of the day but simply by timing dinner for 17:30 rather than our normal 18:00 I achieved a 47% reduction and won a £50 runner up prize.I think that for me this a better scheme than others I have seen because, with my baseline usage being already so low, the amount that I would receive for any saving would otherwise have been a trivial figure.0 -
I joined while waiting for EON Next to collect enough readings to eventually participate with them. I didn't win anything the first time, and withdrew my participation shortly after. Somehow, I've still won £50 for the most recent event. Odd, but I'm fine with that
