can't see another thread on this so sorry if its a dupe.

we just got this email and not sure if i'm missing something. no payment for reducing use but a 'chance' to win 1k and you have to leave any other demand reduction scheme your supplier might be running?

not impressed us but might work for someone else.

Hello,
Your chance to win £1,000 by signing up to the new Glow Delight service which lets you participate in the new new National Grid ESO Demand Flexibility Service you may have heard about. The goal is to add flexibility to the electricity network by encouraging people to avoid consuming too much energy during peak hours. If you sign up, over the next few weeks there will be times when we’ll ask if you can reduce your energy consumption for a set period. Each time you participate in an event you have the chance to win £1,000. You can only be signed up to one service at a time, so if you want to use Glow Delight you will have to opt out of your other service provider.
To participate, give us your consent in Bright from the left side menu under Glowmarkt. You can withdraw consent at any time within Bright.

Best regards,

Hildebrand Technology Ltd

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

yes defo not appealing if you already signed up somewhere but maybe an option if your with a supplier thats not taking part (like ovo only some higher use customers were invited to join there thing).

i think someone was talking about a differnt one using an app like bright that did pay for reduction but i don't know who they were or if thats open to anyone.

I have messaged them as it could be bad wording and to be honest still have some missing data from 31st December so they can sort that as well.

    If it's not ..lol

You probably need to read the octopus saving sessions thread to realise it's not all about saving in the hour but what you shift before the saving session.

With zero grid consumption 01:30 - 21:30 every day, there is nothing for us to shift before the session either...
Happy for those it is aimed at though, and I guess the Bright scheme would suit us better than Octopus.
