Came back from our three day two night break away and we feel really refreshed and just what we needed.
Our second overpayment has gone out along with the contractual payment. Just waiting for it to clear and I will also be getting a letter to say how long is left on mortgage hopefully be more than one month less like it did last time.
We didn't do as high credit card payment as we had to have money for this break away and also paying my mam half the money we owe her.
Next break is a hotel.stay from a deal I got at work and I do need to pay the difference for upgrading the room and also of we go over the money we are allowed to spend in the restaurant. We aren't big drinkers so shouldn't see this as a problem..
With easter coming up I have 4 days at work for the next three weeks as also we are taking the mondsy off work the week after due to the hotel stay as it's our anniversary around then. Then we have 5 days at the work the next week and then off for two weeks due to going on holiday abroad. It won't cost us too much as we are all inclusive ut we will take some money in case we want to go on a trip or a meal out..Sp we have a lot to look forward to this next month.

Payment gone out and cleared and mortgage balance updated.
Can I ask a question.
So I took out my mortgage in 29th April 2020 and payments are the 1st of the month..
When I looked at the time remaining it says 16 years and 10 months.
So if I didn't do overpayments would it be 17 years 1 month as I didn't take it out until the end of April?
Thank youMortgage free wannabe

I got a letter from my lender to say that my mortgage term has gone down and it takes effect in may but it will 16 years and 8 months at the moment.
Hopefully the next few months I can get it into the 15 year bracket.
Gor a busy easter weekend with ging out for food and drinks and also need to do weekly shop and also next week our first wedding anniversary so we I'll be going to a hotel overnight. The cost includes a meal in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning but will have to pay the difference on the deal I got for upgrading the room but it's special occasion.

Making progress on the back bedroom done a tip run or recycling village as it's called and finally getting rid of the bed we have in there that won't be any use to us. This is going to a relative.
Just a few things left to sort out in there and another top run and.it will be empty apart from the odd things we are keeping in there.
Either it's going to be a baby room or a hobby room it just depends on if we can have a baby..Mortgage free wannabe

Got the room sorted for now.
Bed has gone to relative.
The second tip run done.
Just a few things left in there that we will use when the room is completed..just needs carpet and my husband wants to redecorate the feature wall as ira flowery and not our style. That shouldn't cost too much money compared to other rooms where we plastered and repainted.
We sold a lot of DVDs to cex some where like 10p each but got a 9 quid voucher to use and expires in 1000 years haha.
Room looks so much better and now not embarrassed to leave the door open now like it was when it was a junk room
Needs a clean up but we are tired and hungry sp going to call it day on the room but happy we made progress and we haven't argued once today so that's something hahaha..Mortgage free wannabe

We were going to book a cheeky holiday in September time but the prices have gone right up. Also the date that was going to be 400 quid cheaper we couldn't do as we are going to a comedy gig that night. Also the balance would have had to be paid at start of July. It would be pushing the finances as we are due to go on holiday in may so need money for spends there. Also still owe relative half the money for pipe repairs but I think they will let us wait till after holiday. We will be thinking of going away next year instead. We could get a late deal nearer time but not guarantee of time off work. We could stop the over payments on mortgage but I'd rather get mortgage paid off quicker than using it for something that's going to last a week. The remaining of our life mortgage free or a week in the sun? Deffo pick mortgage as we can use the payments to go on more holidays.
It's our 1st wedding anniversary hotel stay tomorrow night and really looking forward to it.
I'm going to transfer the overpayment money into the joint account so that it's ready for when it gets taken and I'm not tempted to spend it.
That's all for now.Mortgage free wannabe

So stayed at the hotel last night and this morning a tooth that was partially broken came loose and came out. There's some still remaining and causing me intense pain. Husband called 111 and got a call back thru just said find a dentist. Call a dentist and voicemail says call 111. Waited for one to open up and got through and they aren't taking nhs patients on. So £85 charge up front don't know if it includes treatment.
I just need to get out of pain. It's going on credit card. We will have to hammer down the card when we get back from holiday in a few weeks time.

Going to a rugby match tonight which is the final of the season. Won't cost me anything in terms of attendance and also because my husband can't attend my friend is going to use his ticket to get in. I always offer this because it is a carer ticket and I would need someone with me anyways to relay any emergency information as I can't understand the tannous.
Also as part of the season ticket I am allowed to bring a friend and I cheeky asked if a friend can come on the carer ticket too..I didn't hear from them but out the blue I got two free tickets. My friend friends already had their tickets so I offered them to a relative and they are going to go.
I already have next year's season ticket purchased and a car parking pass..it will save having to anxiously wait for the next matches car parking to be released plus they dropped the cost of season tickets for next year. So with the season ticket and carer ticket and car parking pass it would for next season ita about the same price of the one season ticket..
This gives us something to look forward to most weekends when they are at home. You do have to live a little. I also have a money voucher after a complaint I made which I wasn't expecting which will go towards next seasons shirt if we like it.
So tonights cost will just be for food I am getting with my friend before the match. Travel is already paid for with my ct card. But last time my friend wanted to pay the full bill and was persistent in saying no..I then later transferred money to her PayPal because I felt guilty. I was already getting a loft back home after the match..
