So we have a coffee machine that I bought in November on black Friday deal..it is the hotel Chocolat machine and it fits Nespresso pods.
Never was into coffee before hand but I wanted to start as the sneak energy drinks were costing alot for servings
.
So iseen a deal in December where I can get 25 quid of credit with Nespresso for only 12.50 so I quickly signed up. Some people didn't get the deal as they twigged on but I'm lucky to have got it.
We have a stand in the city we work in and been getting the odd one there to start is off and see what we like. Today Mr has said that we are running low on them so need a top up. We have the lovely raspberry flavour which I horded at Christmas as it was so nice.
So today I seen I had built up £51 of credit so I ordered some coffee to be delivered and because I bought 7 sleeves I got one free. I also take coffee in travel mug to be money saving but I didn't like the one my husband made as it was too bitter. So I pured it out and decided to get a coffee from Costa. . well turns out that tasted too bitter too. And also the price of the coffee ment that It was just under the price of buying a sleeve from Nespresso which has ten coffees.
I will stick to the Nespresso and need to weed out what ones I don't like. But need to try them.
So this investment we made seems to be worth it.Mortgage free wannabe

We need food shopping some point this weekend and Mr wants to go to Costco .
We haven't been for least couple of months and we don't go mad in there. We are very tame compared to some trolleys.
Usually get chicken thighs but I have noticed the price going up but we can get about 24 thighs for about 16 quid which is still cheaper than the supermarket. It will last us a while too as we usually have two thighs each and probably have chicken once or twice a week. It freezes too.
We have got the mince before when it was on offer and it lasted ages.
Food shop will be higher this week but that's encause we buy stuff in bulk when we go to Costco. Also our food spent for two of us usually ranges between 30-50 quid depending what we need from Aldi.
So be about 100 I think this week depending on purchases from Costco.Mortgage free wannabe

Had to spend more money than planned today..
Basically our toilet seat has been rubbish since we bought the house. One of the connectors was put on dodgy so that the bolt or spring wasn't connected properly and the connector couldn't be screwed in to stay in place. We put up with it until it the seat finally cracked.
We popped to two DIY stores and ended up paying £50 for a seat as we needed a square one anndthey only had one on the shop. We also decided to get a toolbox as we wanted to develop our tool collection so we dont have to keep asking to borrow some. The Mr saw an electric screwdriver where it can change the bit but it hold the bits in the screwdriver so can be easily changed.
We did look at drills but we decided to research them before committing to one.
Costco we bought chicken, wraps, milk and I wanted to try the non alcoholic gin which I'm drinking now..it's quite nice as I can taste the juniper berries more than full alcoholic gin as the alcohol just gives me a warming taste.
The wraps we get are three packs of 8 and that lasts us for a couple week for work lunches.
Also did normal food shop and kept in budget.
Although it was a high spend day it was stuff that we needed and the tools and seat should last a while.Mortgage free wannabe

Off to the rugbu today it won't cost us anything in terms of getting in as I have a season ticket. It's something we look forward to when my husband can go as some matches are on Friday when he working but I often go with a colleague then.
We will only be buying soft drinks and some food.
I just want to ask what do you want to see on this as I don't get much intwractioj with people like others do.Mortgage free wannabe

Disaster has occured.
So my husband was texting and calling me at work yesterday but I couldn't get to it until lunch. Turns out the toilet was rising and it happens when the bathroom sink flow stops. The water was going back in there. My parents camemround to look.
My mam was there from 5 till ten trying to sort it out. I had bad knee I was tired and hungry from work and the house was cold too. My mam was trying to clear it and then they both went to kitchen to find its flooded. We think it's the waste pipe that's in the kitchen. But it was all the clean water ther my mam was pouring down. To be honest when we moved in there was mould on the walls near the waste pipe but we thought it was sorted. It mean probably having to get the wall that's covering it down and maybe the kitchen unit. Space is limited in the kitchen as it is..
Top it all off we thought we had insurance but I seemed to have forgottent o get it out as my policy was canceled with my previous one as I meant have selected to renew.
Just great. So we have no toileting facilities and no idea how much this is going to cost.Mortgage free wannabe

Crisis averted.
Turns out I did have insurance but didn't release who it was with.
Anyways it's a cracked pipe and tree roots causing it. We can now use the toilet facilities and it's going to properly repaired on Tuesday.
£540 is the cost but we will be paying that out of credit card payment that is due next month as a relative is paying for us on Tuesday. And we will pay them back on payday.
We can still pay just above minimum to keep 0 percent deal.
It's less cost and damage than I thought it would beMortgage free wannabe

Got the drain sorted out and got the tree root out. Will be paying my mum back on payday this mornthnso the credit card will be less this month but that ok as we will pay over minimum to retain the 0 percent.
Money ready to pop into the joint account for the next over payment of mortgage.
Encourage the husband to book the MOT for the car which is due when we go on holiday abrowd. I did say we only have a few weekends left to get it sorted. That's already paid but hopefully don't have to pay for any repairs.
Got a few things coming up as my birthday near end of the month and will going on a few days break in Yorkshire.
Then 1st wedding anniversary which I've have a hotel booked for it which I got from my workplace as part of a deal. I also upgraded the room to make it more special as they have twin baths on a menazine with a TV in between.
Then our proper holiday too..
So alot of things to look forward to.
I keep thinking my brithday is next week but it's not. I think I just need a break away as I haven't been away since my honeymoon last may. I've had time of work but not a break away..Mortgage free wannabe

Second overpayment and contractual payment ready to go out on the first..
Paid my mam half the money we owe for the pipe repair. Next half will be on next payday as we need some spends this month as I'm going for a two night break for my birthday tomorrow and also have a hotel booked for anniversary in April so need to pay the difference for upgrade.
Had to use my credit card for something's the last few days as I am victim to a scam email so had to cancel my main debit card. Waiting for a new one to come. I do have other current accounts but I only use them to transfer money to joint account and also for the mortgage company to take from joint account as it's the same bank.
Credit card will be paid before the 0 percent deal ends but these things happen.
