Letter from QDR (through ZZPS) giving me 14 days to pay to avoid county court proceedings
Randomexistence
I have read the sticky
I have searched the forum for QDR and ZZP posts
I cannot find the correct steps for me to take or what I should be doing.
Story: Parked over the lines in a UK PARKING CONTROL LIMITED car park, received a windshield ticket. Ignored it. Ignored the letters that came from ZZPS I imagine demanding money. Now I have received a new letter from QDR Solicitors saying:
You are required to make full payment of £170 within 14 days of the date of this letter or we will review your account which we anticipate will result in instruction to issue CC proceedings against me.
Then they threaten with getting a CCJ and how it will ruin my life etc.
Is there a way out of this at this point? I have ignored all communication to this point. It does seem like it will result in a court claim otherwise, right?
I am sorry for posting this as I'm sure someone will point out the answer somewhere but i have spent a good amount of time trying to read and research on what to do at this exact point and could find nothing. I didn't and haven't appealed to the landowner (too late now?) and have ignored ZZPS letters.
Worst case I guess I will pay before the deadline is up?
Thanks for any input

With respect, you haven't read enough of the sticky.
A letter giving you just fourteen days to pay is nothing more than a debt collectors letter.
Direct your attention towards the fourth post on the NEWBIES thread where you will find comprehensive guidance on how to deal with debt collectors letters.2 -
You are right, it is still debt collector stage.KeithP said:

The ticket was actually back on 13/09/2022 now so I believe I cannot complain effectively to the landowner/retailer, so will just ignore the letters for now
Thank you0 -
I don't understand why not?Randomexistence said:KeithP said:

Who is the retailer?
Where exactly did this alleged parking event take place?1 -
From my reading I thought this would be too far down the road for them to be able to retract it, but perhaps not?
It was a retail park. Hall road retail park norwich. It has multiple shops + gym within. I was parked over one of the lines of the bay while attending the gym.
I have looked for the landowner of the retail park and all I can find is (cant post links) 'google search' hall road retail park owner norwich (ESHP website)
What are your thoughts Keith? And thanks for your time

Isn't the fact that almost all of the successes reported over the years in SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs talk about PCNs being cancelled many months or even several years after they were issued, sufficient info to tell you that of course you can and must complain to the retailer?
That thread is the very first hyperlink after the first Q&A in the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

In the olden days, ZZPS were known as the court jesters, to please the King and make him laugh.
They still make us laugh and ZZPS is now known as the OSNER scam, a scam approved by the BPA.
The scam is the fake add-on of £70 ?
ZZPS has been sending out rubbish letters for years and the sad thing is they believe their rubbish is real
