Sky Broadband and Phone - look out for the call charges

I recently switched from BT broadband and phone to Sky - and saved a tidy sum per month.
I kept the landline capability as my wifes family always uses this to get in touch.
This month, I got a nasty surprise - outgoing calls are charged at 69p per minute for local calls. 
In only 8 calls we built up charges of 30.00. 
Thank god we didn't use it for a service that has long wait times.
A warning to those looking for a good deal - look at the details of the ongoing charges as well as the switching savings.

I don't think you are correct, they are 22p a minute plus a 25p connection charge.

The OP may have arrived at .69p a minute by having a call that lasted just over a minute, and the costs were 25p connection charge and 2x 22p ( if they round up to the nearest minute ) , so 22ppm although correct doesn’t disprove the 69p charge for a call is  if the call a fraction over 1 minute long, the effective charge for a 61 second call is not 22p.

Even so, the OP is still incorrect stating that SKY charge 69p per minute.

Sky do all inclusive calls as per the above link for £12 a month.

If you make that many calls its a no brainer.  Go for that.

They do not charge "69p per minute", that's incorrect.
