Thank you for the advice. I suspect that might be the case, had it wasn’t for this MSE forum, I would have gone ahead with the switch without knowing the consequences for my credit file history!

Cynergy only does a soft search when applying for their current account. They aren't part of the CASS though so I don't know if you want to add it to your list or not.1 -
@Bridlington1 thanks for the note and updated page 1 now. They might change their policies and become part of CASS in the future.1

Does anyone know if Halifax does a hard search for additional accounts opened with them? I already have a Rewards current account and want to open two more with them

RBS Second Current Account leaves a hard search in Equifax.
