Still annoying that you can't transfer the exact amount you want to transfer. You don't discover this limitation until you're in the middle of applying for the transfer - you think I should abandon it, go off an pay off the extra pennies, then start all over again? That's annoying - why can't you just transfer the exact amount you want to transfer?born_again said:Just pay off the odd pennies 1st before transfer 🤷♀️0 -

Leaving a few pence outstanding could cause you to be stung with interest if you don't clear the rest of the statement balance by some other means.grumbler said:
Neither is a problem.Fingerbobs said:
It's also annoying that you can only request a balance transfer for a whole number of pounds, so you have to either leave a few pence outstanding on the other card, or put it a few pence into credit (unless your other balance happens to be a whole number of pounds). That's what a DD is for. Set to pay the balance in full in this case, assuming it's purchases. If it's a promotional balance, then interest on pennies cannot sting.

You COULD have spent £15,000 in a month, not on a promotional balance (e.g. to earn cashback), and want to balance transfer away to a 0% card. Then failing to clear the balance in full would sting.Anyway, the only point I was making was that it's slightly annoying that you can't just request the exact amount you wish to transfer, and have to faff about dealing with the odd leftover pennies. I didn't say it was a catastrophe, and I didn't expect to be belittled for mentioning it.0 -
I took out a NatWest Credit Card for balance transfers in February and have successfully done a balance transfer using the mobile phone app that included pence.Fingerbobs said:...It's also annoying that you can only request a balance transfer for a whole number of pounds, so if you want to clear the balance on another card you have to either leave a few pence outstanding, or put it a few pence into credit (unless your other balance happens to be a whole number of pounds).
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

But easily sorted. Could even do it after you have requested balance transfer. To manual pay the odd P's
