That just shows the front of these idiots, how can they possibly think that is reasonable!

I sued Horizon Parking for breaches of data protection law and I was awarded a four figure sum in damages.
DVLA and ICO weren’t interested and BPA found that there had been no breach of the Code of Practice, so it was down to me to hold Horizon Parking to account.

Wonderful read and so well done for hitting back at the bully boy machine. I wish others would do the same, but all they seem to want is to get the tickets off their backs, and settle for that despite the unlawful nature of the acquisition and use of their data by PPCs.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

very well done - no doubt you will be instructing DVLA not to give your data to all and sundry in future.7 -
Fantastic work OP. Shame it's not an amount that will genuinely hurt them, otherwise they might think again when scamming innocent people.

That is a brilliant result.
I have always maintained that claims involving residential spaces are the worst. I could choose to never use the car park again where I was ticketed but a resident cannot.
I remember a similar case whereby the defendent owned two car parking spaces at the rear of their property and had such a problem with the PPC that it made them ill.

Hang on they tried to claim legal costs from you?! But they lost..
Can we claim costs against parking firms when they take us to court?

@blobby123ff It was legitimate for them to make a costs application because they had previously offered to settle by paying me a higher amount than the value of my claim. However, we were unable to reach a settlement agreement, not because of money, but because of the excessive terms they were trying to impose on me. The judge accepted that I had actively tried to reach a settlement and I hadn't behaved unreasonably, so they got no costs.7
