Well, I just made 20 x 5p friends and family payments and was coming here to see if this would count as the 20 transactions I needed for the cash back. Why would paypal close my account, is there anything in their t&cs I'm going against?

Because it'll cost PayPal something to charge your debit card each time.

Not against any specific term but puts you at risk of being marked as a mickey taker and your account restricted as such.
