Help, should I pay or not?

Hello,
I've read the newbies thread and while some stuff applies it's not conclusive advice for what I should do next for my situation.
My girlfriend was going to the dentist and I dropped her off and on the way to pick her up she was delayed getting out of the dentist's and I sat in the car in a Euro Car Parks car park for about half an hour until she was finished. So obviously we've been handed a charge for parking without purchasing a ticket, my girlfriend appealed explaining the situation and in hindsight foolishly explained that I was in the car waiting for her. They rejected the appeal and said we agreed to the terms when we entered the car park etc etc. My girlfriend has been working long weeks at the moment and has been staying at my house and only last week received her mail from her parents house, where we had a final notice letter from ECP and a letter from Debt Recovery Plus looking for £150.
What is the best course of action considering we have told them who is in the car?
Should I complain to the dentist? (its a small company so doubt they will pay)
Or should I just pay the £150 and be done with it?
Thanks!

Never use terms like I parked, he, she, girlfriend, wife, brothet, mother, sister etc.
Where is this car park ?
Who's car park is it?
Why would you pay an unregulated company for what could be called a scam ? £150??? Without taking further research into what the charge is and if its reasonable.
They are taking the !!!!!!, doesn't even pass the beavis test
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"
Of course she doesn't pay it (nor phone up anyone)!
I sincerely hope her parents are not the type of people to think they are being helpful and pay it, not recognising that private parking is an 'outrageous scam'* industry?
