Asda 3GB Data Plan

I have an Asda paygo sim that at present I just use for calls but I was thinking on using it to read emails and get data when I'm away from my wifi so if I get a 3GB Asda Data plan what happens if I use all the data in that month does it just stop until I put more money on or will it keep racking up charges?

On Android, you can put a data warning and limit in place to avoid exceeding the plan you've purchased. Allow a bit of a cushion though, as the phone's record may not exactly match Asda's.
Don't know if iPhones have a similar setting, but I would guess they do.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. The data from your 3GB bundle will be used first (3GB/mth will be plenty if you are just checking emails, messages etc), then you will pay 10p/MB until your PAYG credit is exhausted, then your service will stop (inbound calls/texts should be OK) until you top-up/purchase another bundle.1

Only thing to be careful about is if autotopup is enabled in your my asda mobile account. If it is then when your balance reaches zero it will top back up from your bank card. Otherwise you can only spend your allowance and the amount of credit on your account.0

Just out of interest have you considered switching to lebara? The same plan from them is 10p cheaper per month but more usefully is 99p per month fir the first six months. Uses the same vodafone signal as asdamobile and generally better reviews; If you don't need to be on a vodafone network lyca is even cheaper (on o2) at 1p pm for 6 months0
