Capita assessment

Pip renewal form was sent early 2022. Got a phone call out of the blue today asking if they could ask a few questions, found this quite rude as nothing was arranged in advance...
As I was busy today I couldn't take the call so re arranged it for another day.
The person on the phone said its not an assessment as such, just a few questions..

What should I expect to be asked in regard to this ? Never had an assessment before so I'm not sure.

I don't think there's anything rude about them ringing you. They sonetimes do this if they have any questions to ask to see if a paper based assessment can be completed. When they ring this way they don't usually warn you in advance, they will just ring.

No one here can tell you what they will ask you, it will depend on your conditions and how they affect you.

If they don’t manage to speak to you then you will be put on the waiting list for an assessment.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Yeah that is not an issue as I've rescheduled it.  Just wanted to know how it works as I've never had an assessment before

With all the scam phonecalls going about, I would not have taken the phonecall.

I would have politely told them, if they are who they say they are, they've got all my details and  to send me an appointment for a telephone call.

It's not always possible for them to send out appointment dates and times if they ring this way to ask some questions. Sometimes it can be the decision maker from DWP that rings, usually it's just a few quick questions. If it's a full assessment then yes i agree, that an appointment date/time should be sent.

I had that once (did answers the questions), must have been a DM  as soon afterwards I was informed of my award. It was the only time I didn't have an "assessment ".

Got a telephone assessment soon. Are more people being assessed these days ? I've never had to have an assessment as such before - just the paper one to report any changes in circumstance

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

To me it seems like they wanted a bit more info before they made a decision. By calling you they would have thought that you could supply that info then and then. As they didn't get the info then, they put you down for a assessment.

So I don't think it's down to more assessments, it's  more likely down to you being to busy to take the call.
