hi, i bought a nokia 5300 online on the 5th dec, i also had to buy £10 airtime as well, i was told that the airtime would be applied within 8 days, however 10 days later i'm still waiting, when i registered the sim card i kept my old number, but was told on the 14th when i rang them that the credit is applied to the sim number and not the phone number, now after another phone call (which is a premium rate number), i have now got to wait another 10 days for it to be applied,
this also happened to me in august when i bought a phone for my son, in the end they had to send me a cheque for the airtime.
so beware if you have done the same, you probably won't get you're credit applied

  • Hi Carla40

I purchased a 6300 on T-Mobile PAYG with £10 airtime from CPW last week as a gift and have yet to activate the sim as I will need to port a number to it.

Reading your post I dug out the receipt to check that £10 has been put through. The receipt shows a transaction ID to which you will be able to chase up both CPW & your network. When I spoke to T-Mobile about porting the number I asked about the £10 airtime, I was informed that the account should be credited immediately or at least within the hour. I told him about the 8 days as advised by CPW he seemed a little puzzled. Give your network a call you may get more sense!!

    Good luck
