I would suggest you wait patiently for your blank DQ to arrive in the post.
We have previously seen the CCBC return a Defendant's DQ as 'premature'.

    Hi everyone,
I've just checked the MCOL website and the DQ has been sent out to me.
However, I've moved house this weekend so will have to go back and collect it - I have both houses until last one is sold so not a problem. How long do I have to file it by? (So I know whether to rush back to get it) Also does anybody know how to inform the courts of a change of address?
    Thanks all.

You don't have to rush back to pick it up as you can download one (I am sure that advice is in the 12-steps somewhere) and fill it in on-line then send it by e-mail to the same e-mail address that you used for your defence.
Just put your change of address on the same e-mail that you use to send back your DQ, don't forget to send a copy to the claimant or their solicitor if they are using one.  It is important that the claimant  and the PPC know about your change of address.

I would strongly suggest that you advise both the CCBC and the Claimant of your new address now.

There are still several months of 'activity' before your case is resolved and it would be silly to let the Claimant win a Judgment with you knowing nothing about it.

When informing the PPC and their solicitor of your new address, make sure you also tell them to "erase" your old address. The emphasis on "erase" is for a reason.

Good point - I'll send another email to them asking for that to be done. Thanks

Morning all - thanks for the help so far.
I sent my signed DQ form a few weeks ago following the conversation on this thread, however I've checked the MCOL website and it doesn't say that they have received mine. The last note was "DQ filed by claimant on XX".
Is it worth sending a follow up email or could it just be a case that it's not updated yet? The email was sent within working hours.

The CCBC have been behind in their admin and late recording of receipt of items like DQs is common. Depends on how long 'a few weeks ago' is, but if it's more than (say) a fortnight, I'd be sending a duplicate and/or calling them to check current position.

As an aside, did you remember to send a copy of your DQ to the claimant's solicitors?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
