I use BT for my Broadband. Wiring was installed by Openreach

Provided the new provider also uses Openreach infrastructure , or FTTP is available in which case chances are a new optical ‘line’ would be installed , as when FTTP becomes available the ISP are encouraged to use that rather than the existing copper pair0
