Oh yes, I see it now. We actually just gave a £50 donation to St Luke's Hospice in Basildon last week as it was one of the charities linked to the funeral my husband attended. I just googled and it said there are 46 elephants and 72 baby elephant sculptures around this area. I have only seen three elephants so far! My husband hadn't seen any at all, he didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned elephants.

Lovely art @Wednesday2000 such fun to take children to see these kinds of sculptures, I hope they raise lots of money. Pink elephants anyone…. 🤣🤣🤣🤣9 years @helensbiggestfan, good on you. The years seem somehow to melt away don’t they, I’m glad you were happy and are doing Ok. All we are left with is memories. Can’t believe I’ve been in my new home and location over 4 years now, probably because Covid shut us in for a good bit of that.
The life tweaks are underway, I’m doing ok thank you. Acceptance is key to all of life’s journey and all its ups and downs. This was unexpected but I’m at the age where I know things can start going wrong, or as someone in the family once said “drop off”. Still getting my head around everything, still busy with work, some of it is seasonal, but already making more time for art, making new connections and ensuring time for friends and family in the diary.
DD and I went to Barbie, dressed in pink, after a quick supper and of course we had strawberry ice cream in the cinema for our pudding! It’s certainly a slightly unusual film.Have a good week everyone.7 -
Wellness Wednesday.Hello Everyone. Hope you are all well.WEDNESDAY. Love the elephant. . So colourful.ARTISTESLIFESTYLE. Glad your tweaks are still going well. You are so right, acceptance is key isn't it. We may not be able to influence what happens to us. And life isn't always fair. But, we can choose how we respond. The old saying "what counts is not how many times you fall, it's how many times you get up". Success is built on a mountain of failure.Like a Phoenix we can rise from the ashes.......😂🤣.Well now in the spirit of Wellness Wednesday I have made a decision to tackle some outstanding gynae issues. Nothing sinister but I've been putting it off quite long enough. Time to grasp the nettle and get myself sorted out, Have a consultation with a gynaecologist next week. Dental scans all complete, results are in so have a consult with the dentist to work out an action plan - also next week. Tomorrow is a physio massage. So yep, keeping at it. Using the treadmill, just walking not jogging or running. It's a lovely day so will be gardening after lunch. Get some Fresh air, vitamin D and exercise whilst I tackle the overgrown lawns and weeds. Several birds with one stone. 😁
take care all. ❤️5 -
Hello everyone
Its been lovely catching up with how you are all doing. Time does have a habit of running away!
ARTISTSLIFESTYLE - I am so pleased that your health thing is something that can be resolved and your goals to spend more time being creative and with family and friends are a good reminder to us all!
HELENSBIGGESTFAN - I am glad that you are feeling up to continuing your wellness journey. You are most definitely worth it!
I have been MIA too - things have been tricky here, Nan has been very poorly and she passed on Saturday. It was very peaceful and my Mum was with her, but she has left a very big hole for such a small person and despite her being poorly for a while, its still a dreadful shock that she is gone.
I have been finalising my moving, I am well established at home with my parents now, which is a relief to everyone. Its been good to be able to have them close while everything has been going on.
I give the flat back at the end of the month, so still have some moving to do there.
Time keeps ticking on - it feels oddly autumnal already this year and we have barely had a summer!

@failingminimalist - Hugs for your family. Even if you are expecting the end, it always hurts.5

I've decided to start doing pilates in a morning before work, have been doing it for about 2 weeks now, so will see if it seems to make any difference in my general mood/energy levels.
I am keeping going with my self care routines, but will see how this goes as we head into cooler weather - we keep the house cooler for Mr Puppy, so I'm normally layered up, but may make it unpleasant to use body butter after a shower.
@failingminimalist, hope you have lots of support at this difficult time x4 -
I had my first Thai massage yesterday and I am so achy. I had a bath when I got home and then got into bed at 5.30 pm and only got up about an hour ago! I hadn't had such a deep tissue massage before and I googled and feeling flu-like after is common. The therapist said that I would feel sore but then the next one should be easier. I am probably going to book one in a month as she said.
At least the massage got rid of my migraine. She said if you get migraine pain on the left eye like I do, it is usually your left shoulder blade causing the problem. Even sitting at my laptop now I can feel the tension in my left shoulder so it might be that.
I am going out to a concert tonight and then out to a bar tomorrow. I have been feeling quite sick since the massage so I don't think I will be drinking any alcohol today.
I hope people have a nice weekend. I'm looking forward to the football too.
