Things that are wasted on you...

I'm sure that most of us have pushed the boat out once or twice when it comes to booking a holiday for a honeymoon or because it was a landmark birthday. Sometimes along with what we wanted, maybe a sea view or private pool on your terrace, you get other things that were totally wasted on you. 

So what has come along with your booking that was a waste for you? 

I'll go first... AI - if you have kids or in the middle of know where then I can see it could be good or if you want cost certainty but the couple of times we've had AI we've wanted to go out explore and try other places but you always have that nagging voice saying you are paying double.

The other one... butler service... what are you supposed to do with them? I find it weird someone else unpacking my suitcase or worse still packing my dirty clothes. Sure they can book restaurants etc but so can concierge or OpenTable.

Staying at an All-Inclusive with 24/7 food & beverage and having a bottle of wine and a large fruit basket in the room.

All inclusive lunch and pool bar food.  Breakfast is so big, you don't want anything else to eat until the 5 course evening meal.

Having any sort of spa bath or jacuzzi in the room, I just don’t do sitting in water.

A turndown service.  Just why?

Towels twisted into the shapes of swans/elephants/animal of choice lined up on your bed from staff who are doing it because they want a tip.

Minibars and room service  -I’m too tight to pay those extortionate prices.

I am glad most mini-bars are empty these days. I travel with meds that need to be refrigerated and had one hell of an argument with one company who said I had 2 beers at $10 each when the only thing I'd put in/out the fridge was my meds

that said... at one place I went to the minibar was free... strip mined that thing daily!

We've has a sauna at our accommodation at Centerparcs a few times, never used it.

Previous thread reminds me.  Centerparcs, totally wasted on me.  Awful concept, although they they are missing a trick.

They could charge people to visit it like a zoo where you can stand the wrong side of the compound and watch the people who have paid far more to be fenced in for a few days.

Premium economy and sometimes exit row seats. Depends on the airline and aircraft, but on a recent one with ANA the PE seats were in some ways worse. Screen not in the back of the headrest in front, for example, but instead on an awkward arm that made getting up very annoying.
