Alternative to Freetrade?

I opened a Freetrade stocks and shares ISA and a GIA account a couple of years ago due to the straightforward simplicity of their processes. Since then they are seeking permission from their investors to permit Freetrade to lend their investors’ stocks. I object to this unquantifiable increase in my risk and will not permit this. It appears as through staying on this platform may require agreement to their stock lending programmes, so I am now looking for a new home for my investments. Unfortunately I do not know much about any of the alternatives. I dimly recognise eToro and Vanguard but that’s about it. Any suggestions please?

I looked at Freetrade when considering a new home for my S&S ISA (currently Bestinvest) and rapidly rejected them.I looked at IWeb, Vanguard, Lloyds and AJ Bell. Of these Iweb have zero annual charge but a £100 opening fee - however right now they will rebate this for transfers in https://www.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk/landing-pages/cashback-offer.htmlI have gone for Lloyds because they also have a generous cashback offer on transfers in https://www.lloydsbank.com/investing/landing-pages/transfer-offer.html. They do charge £40 pa though.Vnaguard seem solid but operate on a % fee basis so dearer for large portfolios. This is a good guide from Monevator https://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/Good luck
