BT Jan 23 Fibre 2 broadband offer

I was so looking forward to my new BT broadband from end jan 23:6 month half price offer (2 yr contract), until I discovered it was £16.99(half price) for 2 months only(not 6mths) because in April the rate will go up by cost of living (as yet unspecified). Then the full price for the next 6 mths, when the half price part ends, will go up by the COL again. THEN next April 2024 it will go up again by the cost of living again. So really there is no half price in the 24 month special offer from BT -it is an allusion ..a swindle. very disappointed in BT, they must think we are all stupid. It is an outrage as these 2 year contcts have no real fixed price.

I must have missed something here, by all means have a rant about it but what other COL increase after the next 6 months when half price ends THEN in April 2024 again? It's once a year,I was so looking forward to my new BT broadband from end jan 23:6 month half price offer (2 yr contract), until I discovered it was £16.99(half price) for 2 months only(not 6mths) because in April the rate will go up by cost of living (as yet unspecified). Also we can thank the government for the cpi rates anyway0 -
I think it's badly worded. I suspect they mean the first 12 months from April will be at the new increased price, with the first 2 months of the contract at the original price and the next 4 months at the pro rata rate including the increase. Then 6 months at the new price before the next RPI increase in April 2024.southsidergs said:

If only these companies included T&C's so you could find out all of these pesky details before joining.0
