Well that's the end of that then! Good while it lasted (not very long).0

I doubt it. They've probably just realised how the change in rates has impacted them. First time since they've been operating in UK that rates are this high.Patrington said:Another deal compromised by highlighting on here!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -
The change in rates has not impacted them negatively at all. All they've been doing is passing on most of the interest they receive on the cash. The percentage they keep under the current system is the same whatever the base rate happens to be. As the base rate increases their % share is higher in monetary terms.jimjames said:

In fact I think they're probably done quite well out of it in other ways too. They've gained new customers as people (myself included) have switched to them because of this policy. They earn 0.2% retained interest plus the 0.15% account fee on all of this money, for doing very little.
IMO they are being greedy wanting to retain more of the interest they receive for themselves. I'll be transferring out as soon as the change takes effect.2 -
Has vanguard now made this change to the lower rate, not heard any confirmation this has been implemented. Assume they will0

If they are "greedy", why did they offer that rate in the first place?
Why don't they charge the same amount of fees as HL?
Why do they cap the amount of fees they charge on each account?
Seriously.....
