According to my records, Shawbrook's EA interest rates haven't been reduced since April 2021 (0.4%), so not just a few months ago. As said, there's no need for 32 issues of the EA account when one would do.0

No that’s wrong
last year they went up and up and up to around 1.9%Then all of a sudden they lowered them to about 1.8%
but my account stayed at the higher rate of 1.9%0 -
My monthly interest was due about 3 days ago and I never received it...
so I messaged them and the reason was , when they upgraded my account to the new rate the other day, they also set it to annual interest!
so I would have been waiting a year if I hadn’t have checked
i guess I should have noticed but I thought I’d point it out to anyone else wondering where the hell their interest had got too!
Anyway now I have to wait until NEXT month to get two lots of monthly interest instead

Having just read all the posts hear on this thread I had decided to message Shawbrook; " When I took out my Easy Access account Issue 31 it stated that interest rate changes would be automatic. I have since learned that is not the case. Is that correct ? ( I presume it will still be if the rates fall !) However they have risen and I believe the latest issue is 34 at 3.36% Can I please request that my account changes to this or a higher issue if rates have risen further.

Thank you for your message. I can confirm that I have upgraded your account to Easy Access Issue 34 as requested. If you log out and log back into your account, you will be able to view this change. Your account number will remain the same. Unfortunately, we do not automatically upgrade customers’ accounts. Shawbrook Bank will launch a brand-new product under a new product issue and that rate could increase or decrease, we do rely on the customer to ask us to upgrade their account. When a new issue is released, please contact Shawbrook by telephone on 0345 266 6611 or via secure message so that we can upgrade your account for you.
