Back on schedule.
My monthly budget runs from 20th to 20th as thats pay day. So technically I'm in February run, as as far as I can work out I am going to go over my budget.£127/£160

Milk delivered overnight means there is no need to go shopping still. Eggs also due today (a dozen).
I had a bit of a tidy up in my larder and rationalised some things around the house (both bathrooms had at least two bottles of bleach open and one had a third sitting, gathering dust). I do need to look out for the cheap bleach that is not listed online next time I visit Morries. I like to have a spare in hand. Sadly the "spend £35 in-store for 5p off a litre of fuel" and the "£15 off £70 online" offers won't get used as I don't intend shopping before they expire.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

£33.54 spent in Aldi today. DD is staying over half term with DGSs. Really pleased with this shop. 2 GSs are gluten and dairy free so I am going to make oat biscuits and some dark choc rice crispie cakes as sweet treats. Also want to try some cup cakes if I can find a good recipe. I find cakes much harder to perfect when they are made with gf flour. Have decided roast chicken is easiest way to go on Sunday, sausage and mash Monday, pizza tuesday, fish and chips wednesday and a pasta dish on Thursday.
I do feel for familys that have to buy for children with allergys/dietry requirements all of the time as their products are so expensive. A decent loaf of bread is £3.50! One of my GSs cant eat soya and that seems to be in a lot of the ff food too. I must admit that I always get my DD to check labels when here just to be on safe side.

Woah, so much catching up to do! I think I’m up to date now!
I’ve had a dreadful cold all week, so have been resting a lot and haven’t managed to get online. Plus side means the grocery fund hasn’t budged as I haven’t left the house. Today it has thankfully reduced to a stuffy sinus (still horrid but bearable) and I was able to snag two packs of vegan bacon, a finest wholemeal loaf and a big bag of bakery croissants from Olio, so they were a nice treat at the end of an otherwise dreadful week.
I haven’t picked up the grocery fund yet, and I need to add another £20 this week for the refunded Goust0 order. We also have a clubcrd voucher for £20, so we will probably stock up on some longer lasting items, or reduced bargains with that. Also, I wasn’t up to cooking a couple of nights this week, so we have quite a bit left over fro, the meal box ingredients. I’m going to take a look at those in the morning and work a menu plan with what we have.
I’ll update budget wise tomorrow when the big shop is done.Debt Free Journey started 21.05.20177 -

Loving this challenge as a newbie! Done a big shop and a couple of small shops reporting £145.85/£250 which is much better than it would usually be.
I’ve done a freezer and cupboards inventory - so much food, there is absolutely no excuse if I don’t stay within the budget this month!7
