@Saver-upper I count all edible spends in my budget, including little top up shops that sometimes happen. I also include all cleaning materials, rubber gloves (I buy them in bulk as Mr KK needs them in large for the washing up! 😂) and other buts and pieces that come from the supermarket deliveries such as firefighters, matches etc. I also include any online or health food shop vegan spends for me.
I don’t include any extra meat Mr KK chooses to buy from the local butcher (we also get quite a bit on the supermarket shop) or alcohol as I don’t drink and it frustrated me that it was such a big part of our spend, so he just buys it himself out of his ‘pocket money’.KKAs at 15.05.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £235,841
- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

Another £7.80 spent today. 🤦♀️. DH said that he needed bread and milk again and somehow some kit kats slipped into the shopping! I cant wait to get some energy back and get back in control of the grocery finances. Who knew that I was such a control freak. With no car to use we are having to do all of our shopping locally too. I thought the big Tesco shop that was delivered a couple of days ago would see us through Feb with just a few small spends. Grocery shops today (Ldl) and Friday (JS) - milk, vegetable sausages, carrots, pasta, pesto genovese, tomatoes, grana padano, lots of bread because I find ldls baguettes and things too tempting, onions, spring onions, a lime, gin and tonic in a can (hence the lime), coffee.
Realise now I forgot eggs. I also want some plain flour as I've only self raising and rye flour in.
Bought breakfast pastries for Thursday and Friday as they're decorating my flat so I went and hid at the office. It does look much lighter and brighter though. I'm in again on Monday.

A couple of spends the past few days. £10.00 for milk (we top up every five/six days or so as the kiddo and hubby drink a lot of milk - one of our bigger grocery spends at the moment) which we get from a local organic farm that now has a vending machine so glass bottles as we're trying to reduce waste and our biggest area was plastic bottles. Nipped into the local farm shop too and grabbed some bread, ewe's milk yoghurt, bananas, and potatoes plus got tempted by some local cheese - totaling £12.80.
Trying hard to "shop" our freezer and cupboards which led to a lovely white bean soup being made for lunch today and I found a huge pork joint I'd forgot about, so that's Sunday Lunch (and Monday!) sorted. I've loosely meal-planned for the week ahead and we shouldn't need to buy anything until next Thursday or Friday now - when milk runs out - fingers crossed.£22.80/£125

Nothing spent here but the roast dinner today (meat on offer defrosted from freezer) will use the last of the potatoes, most of the carrots (keeping a couple for soup) and the remainder of the sweetheart cabbage. I still have a previously bought savoy cabbage, plus homegrown and stored butternut squash, a few onions and pumpkin.
I have to collect some pectin that the health food store ordered for me so I will pick up some veg while doing that. I need a list so I am not temptedSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £2664.85 out of £6000 after March (44.41%)

First shop for the month 39.61
Happy with this and still working my way through stores.
I pick a couple of older cupboard residents a week to use up in meals.
Last weeks were half a box of jasmine rice (made a green thai curry) and a spice kit with the roasting bag (elderly veg roasted very yummy and served with mixed grains and some frozen cod steaks)
This weeks items will be half a box of lasagne sheets and then half a box of paella rice39. 61/280Declutter 2023 110/520

Managed to grab a Morrisons TGTG bag for collection this afternoon so another £3.09 to add to the GC budget taking my total so far to about £23/£200 (haven't added to my YNAB yet so get actual figures). Hoping to get some much needed fruit so save me shopping tomorrow or Tuesday for it. Don't really need bread stuff but plenty of freezer space if we do.
