So have they explained to you why they need the receipt? And if they haven't, have you asked why they need it?jamesevans56 said:
They already had all the tv details including serial number which I had to give them when I booked repairJumblebumble said:
I am astonished LG did not ask for the serial number which should have given them /you all the details neededjamesevans56 said:It was a retirement gift from my mother who has since died . I know that she bought it from a local retailer that went bust during covid
how am I supposed to prove anything , when I sent the tv I wasn’t asked for proof of purchase all they where worried about was my payment
I imagine you don't have a record of it either which is a pity
Have you explained to them that it was a gift from your deceased mother - and it has great sentimental value for you - but that you don't have a receipt for it?
(Not sure it still matters if the TV has finally turned up at LG... ?)0 -
I'm pleased the mystery of the lost tv is now resolved.
It sounds like LG were commencing an internal claim process with their courier and a junior member of staff was carrying out a box-ticking exercise to fill out the courier's standard claim form for the missing item.0
