Lg tv repair

  • It was a retirement gift from my mother who has since died . I know that she bought it from a local retailer that went bust during covid

how am I supposed to prove anything , when I sent the tv I wasn’t asked for proof of purchase all they where worried about was my payment
I am astonished LG did not ask for the serial number which should have given them /you all the details needed
I imagine you don't have a record of it either which is a pity

They already had all the tv details including serial number which I had to give them when I booked repair
So have they explained to you why they need the receipt?  And if they haven't, have you asked why they need it?

Have you explained to them that it was a gift from your deceased mother - and it has great sentimental value for you - but that you don't have a receipt for it?

(Not sure it still matters if the TV has finally turned up at LG... ?)

I'm pleased the mystery of the lost tv is now resolved.

It sounds like LG were commencing an internal claim process with their courier and a junior member of staff was carrying out a box-ticking exercise to fill out the courier's standard claim form for the missing item.
