I had to keep chasing british gas and DWP re mine I did get it in the end
  • I never did recieve my warm home discount that the DWP said I would recieve..  emails to OVO and SSE (I was transferred from SSE to OVO) and OFGEM were ignored.. I then contacted my local MP and he contacted the DWP on my behalf and all went quiet..  weeks and weeks..  nothing..
Sorry to hear that you haven't received your entitlement for the Warm Home Discount.

I have qualified for the Warm Home Discount for a few years now, however I changed my electricity provider to Fuse energy in June, this year.

Seems I won't get the W.H.D. that I am entitled to because FUSE is not part of the program.

How can that be, when it's from the Government? It's so unfair!😒

Do you have time to switch to a supplier that *is* in the scheme?

WHD isn't from the government, it's from bill-payers.

No, the qualifying date was sometime in August.

The reason is that only suppliers with over a certain number of customers have to participate.

The scheme for England and Wales has changed now.  You have to be claiming a qualifying benefit AND live in a property that qualifies as needing high energy costs.  The way they work that out is based on the age, type and size of where you live.

You can put in your details here to see if you maybe should be eligible https://www.gov.uk/check-if-youre-eligible-for-warm-home-discount
It's not always right but it will give you some idea.
Can anyone conform if this link is working, as all I get is.

    This service is currently unavailable.

That's the problem with older threads being revived, information and links can be out of date.  It says the same thing for me too.

(I haven't read this year's documents yet so I don't know if they mention when/whether the eligibility checker will be made available again for this winter.)
