How many holidays on uc?

My daughter is receiving lcwra component of uc and her boyfriend wants to take her on a couple of holidays this year to try and help her with her mental health. Is there a limit to how many days they're allowed to have? I've seen 28 days but was unsure if that was in one go or altogether throughout the year?

Thanks for reading

UC has no concept of holidays, so in the simplest sense the answer to your question is zero days. However, this is of more relevance to people who are required to look for work, something which does not apply to your daughter. So as long as she is continuing to meet her commitments (to notify UC of any changes), she is fine.
For your daughter, the more relevant regulation states that she is not allowed to leave the country for more than 1 month, so any foreign holidays must be for less than 1 month or the claim will close. As long as she is not out of the country for more than 1 month, she should not need to notify UC.

  • It's up to a month, and no limits on the amount.
Your daughter needs to stick to the claimant agreement while on holiday.
As she is on LCWRA there will be no work part  that she had to agree on.

Providing each one is no longer than 1 month then she can go on as many as she wants to.

Thats great. Her boyfriend wanted to take her a couple of times if she will go. That solves the problem for him.

Yes, the maximum time out of the country on each occasion cannot exceed 1 month. As long as she returns to the UK in between then there is no limit.
