Weird bulbed grass/weed growing in garden

Hi all, I've seen this weird grass (weed?) growing in my garden during the winter (and before). It has long wide leaves like a regular grass but also appears to grow from small bulbs at the base of the leaf. It appears to grow in quite large amounts filling more than a few household bin bags over the last couple of months.…

There are several (year round) garden plants that grow from bulb-looking areas, leave them in place, or if you must disturb them, gently lift from the ground and store somewhere dark and dry - ask a gardener if they would like them, don't chuck them out, that's just a waste of money.
