Which version do you have? Ring 3 easily lets you adjust the motion sensor settings so that it won't pick up movement outside your property.

That's a good shout. I should've bought a spare battery to swap out when it runs dry.

I bought one around 2018, so I think it might have been Ring 2. They've probably improved the motion sensor in Gen 3.
