No I don't and wouldn't know how the phone distinguishes between the two
Some/all? android phones and tablets support multiple users.

I can't see why deleting the app or clearing the storage would stop you setting up a different user account. The only problem could be using the same phone number for 2FA which would likely need to be deleted from the old account through on line banking.

Plus I have the app on both with access
All link together Face ID fingerprint ID so simple
Repeatedly resetting the app would be cumbersome, and may trigger some security alert at the bank end.

hi all. no, i just wanted the old profile off as it wasn't mine. all sorted now, the other person has kindly logged back in and then "de-registered" the phone from their account within the account settings. i am now using it with my login.

The second part is true but not what you asked.molerat said:I can't see why deleting the app or clearing the storage would stop you setting up a different user account.1

(Just wondering if this is an app side setting, or at the bank end)0 -

While that is the recommended way of doing it, clearing all data from the app may also do the same thing.
The latter may be necessary if the previous account is no longer accessible.
I had a similar issue with TSB (so a different app), when my logins were merged.
This disabled the login being used in the app. As the login was disabled, I couldn't reset this from inside the app.
However clearing the application data allowed new account details to be used.
The Halifax app may actually work in a similar way. If I had multiple Halifax logins, I would test.
ETA: while the initial issue has been resolved, understanding this may help other users with similar problems.0
